Welcome to the Lighthouse of San Fernando Children’s Ministry! It is a true
blessing to know that you are interested in finding out more about our
children’s ministry.
The Leadership of the Children’s Ministry wants to take this opportunity to
provide you with the knowledge on the many different areas regarding the
development of children beginning with Early Childhood Education thru
School-Age Children. We believe it is important

that you are aware of a child’s development, and what tools will be essential
in working with our children.

Lighthouse of San Fernando Children’s Ministry believes in providing every
child with a loving and nurturing environment. We believe that every child is
unique and is a special gift from the Lord waiting to be nourished by entrusted
teachers.
We believe that children learn best when a stimulating and explorative
environment is provided to allow the child’s talents and abilities to flourish.
Essential learning tools such as guidance

and discipline make the learning environment more productive. Balance in
learning is also essential and what better way to cover all aspects of a
child’s development but to teach a curriculum that focuses on the whole
child—spiritual, cognitive, emotional, social and physical.
We strongly believe that the parent is the primary teacher to a child’s life.
By parents becoming involved in their children’s growth and development, the
task of the teacher becomes an easier one.
We will strive to provide an environment that is filled with an abundance of
learning that will have a long lasting affect on the lives of our children.
During both our Sunday celebrations our children's ministry will be available
for the care and nurturing of every child that comes to church that day. Please
