Veronica Vazques a vibrant young lady is easily noticed by her warming smile and her “How can I help?” persona.

We sat down with her and asked her a few questions in regards
to life and her experience as a member of the Lighthouse of San Fernando.

What brought you to the Lighthouse of San Fernando?

V: My family and I were invited to attend the Lighthouse of San Fernando for their “Feed A Family” event. My brother and I were not very excited to attend. However, we attended the event with our mom and have stayed ever since.

How long have you been attending the Lighthouse of San Fernando?

V: It will be 1 year November 2006.

What changes have you seen in your life since starting a relationship with Jesus Christ?

V: I’ve had a lot of changes. I didn’t know who I really was in life, but I found Him (Jesus Christ) and He changed all of that. There were times when I wanted to commit suicide, but I now know this will not please God. I’ve come to understand that I am here for a reason, and that He loves me.

You are now a part of RENDER Youth Ministry, a ministry set out to teach you about God’s love, instruct you on the potential you have to impact this world, and guide you to become a productive member of our society. How have you seen God work in your life as a result of becoming a member of RENDER?

V: God has worked in my life a lot. I remember my first bible study at Starbucks; it was Kirby (Director of Render Youth Ministry) who began teaching us about God’s love. He taught us that He (God) is there for us and that He can bring healing to us. I have learned to forgive people and love them regardless of the pain they have caused in my life. I have learned to become closer to God.

How do you plan on impacting this world for Jesus?

V: Well, my plan is to bring more people to Him. I plan to introduce Him to others by letting them know how much He loves everyone. I want to be a good leader.

You have brought many young people to the Lighthouse of San Fernando, why?

V: Yes I have. I have done this because I know they need Him in their lives.

Take this time to invite those young people who have not visited our church or a RENDER gathering. What do you say to them?

V: Come and spend some fun time with us. Yes, we speak about God. However, we have a good time. It is not a religion thing. It is about getting to know God and falling in love with Him. He has done something in my life. Give Him a chance and He will do something in your life too!
