| I DON’T WANT TO STOP RIGHT NOW... | But they replied, “Don’t waste your breath. We will continue to live as we want to, following our own evil desires.” Jer. 18:12
Here we find the people down want ever they desire with regarding the Lord’s commandments. The Lord spoke to them about there ways being out of the will of God and they were not paying attention to this direction. The reason is that they are enjoying the life of disobedience and find no desire to quit at this time.
How many of us have found ourselves in this situation from time to time. When the desire of sin is great we really don’t want to change our ways. I am not sure if its that we think we will ask for forgiveness later or feel that God will not punish his people. This is a dangerous position to be in only because no one can tell you that there is no consequences to your behavior. Do not love God only when you agree with His direction, Love God even when he does not make sense.
Help me submit myself Lord, during a time that you don’t make sense. Help me remove pride from my life. AMEN
